Steel Cylinders

Steel pressurized gas cylinders are used to store breathable air, fuel, and working gases for use in a variety of industrial, commercial, and personal applications. These range from providing containment for gas mixtures that must be kept under high pressure for scientific or manufacturing applications to use as diving or medical oxygen tanks. No matter where such a cylinder is found, however, it's always noted for the extreme strength that is inherent to all steel products. This fortitude is evident in our line of 4130X chrome moly steel cylinders, which range in size from the Model D, which has an approximate oxygen capacity of 17/19 cubic feet, to the Model 400 and 435 tanks, which have approximate oxygen capacities of 440 and 435 cubic feet, respectively. Between these two extremes are 12 additional models that come in a variety of dimensions and rated capacities.

Though all of Cyl-Tec's steel cylinders are, due to our focus on safety and design, U.S.D.O.T., T.C. and UN/ISO approved, the method used to manufacture our line varies based on the specifications of each type. Models 220 and 300, for instance, are crafted by a billet pierce process, while the Medical E through 150 sizes are created by the spinning process. In addition to the overall integrity afforded to our steel tanks by Cyl-Tec's high design and manufacturing standards, we also offer several value-added features. All size 80 and over cylinders, for example, come with a free cylinder cap and plain or embossed neck rings. We also offer professional one color paint jobs as well as custom shoulder stamping of up to 10 characters to our clients at no additional cost.
